UX Designer
Communications Services at the University of British
Columbia is looking for a User Experience Designer/Architect for a short-term
project.
We are designing a new student wellbeing portal/website at
the University of British Columbia. As part of this project, we plan to:
·
create a resource to strengthen students’
ability to maintain their wellbeing, increase awareness of their current
functioning, engage them in improving self-management skills, and linking them
to campus services and resources as appropriate
·
incorporate and improve the Student Health
Service (www.students.ubc.ca/health)
and Counselling Services (www.students.ubc.ca/counselling)
websites
·
improve navigation
·
add photos and multimedia
·
add interactivity
·
convey a sense of community and support which
invites the user to explore further
·
adhere to current UBC brand and common look and
feel standards (http://www.publicaffairs.ubc.ca/ccwp/clf)
·
launch the completed redesign by early August
2010
Deliverables we'd like to get from you:
·
Google Analytics summary and recommendations
·
facilitation of card sorts and related tests,
along with recommendations
·
development of site maps and user flows
·
wireframes based on specifications provided by
UBC
·
visual mockups (in collaboration with our web
designer), including images provided by UBC
·
user testing of designs via paper prototyping or
other relevant methods
·
HTML and CSS that meets current accessibility
and cross-browser standards
