You will Learn:

  • The importance of integrating brand strategy and communication principles in the UX design process
  • How important the relationship is between Brand Manager, UX Designer and Art Director
  • Creative processes used to develop effective guidelines for brand communication and user experience design

    Marc-Oliver will walk you through the lessons learned from navigating three complex projects with stakeholders with multiple agendas, challenging him – as the lead designer – to take more responsibility for ensuring that the brand strategy, the design logic, the UX principles etc., form a strong relationship and live beyond the handover.

    The workshop adresses professionals (client – agency):

  • who prepare design documentation for front-end developers and interface designers/web designers
  • who gather requirements, translate them into goals, implement UX findings and define design principles
  • who ensure quality of the deliverables within the development process and the final product (client – agency)
  • who assist in the distribution of guidelines and UX documentation
  • who update large scale websites and launch new products and services

    So basically, it is for:

  • Interface Designers / Web Designers / Art Directors

    Marc-Oliver is preparing a workshop for everybody who is interested in developing user experience documentation. He will share his knowledge and experience gained at Razorfish from an Art Directors perspective, where he developed 3 major international web style guides. He has a lot of material to share and show and will talk about the web user experience work-stream and the development and integration of an eBusiness Strategy for T-Mobile (similar to TELUS), Yellostrom (similar to BC Hydro) and Germanwings (similar to Air Canada). In addition he will cover the creation of a visual taxonomy and process of rolling out the UX documentation to more than 11 countries.

    After the workshop we are thinking that it would be fun for everyone to bring samples of their best (or worst) User Experience documentation to show others at the social!!
