The VanUE group heard about some of the latest Flash trends and applications while looking at the usability challenges and issues that they present. Weston Triemstra of CBC’s Zed TV and Mike Snelgrove, Director of Technology of Cossette Interactive, talked about their experiences working with Flash and Macromedia’s new Flash Communication Server. This server based platform can be used to create interactive web-based audio/video applications such as video on demand, live event broadcasts, webcam chat, and real-time collaboration applications.

After the presentations, the floor was opened to the audience to ask questions and share their tips and techniques in designing for Flash.
