Presentation and Workshop: Ethnographic Research
A mandate of the Vancouver User Experience group is to explore and develop methodologies that provide multi-disciplinary teams with ways to implement “experience design” research methods in their own practices.
In our first interactive session, VanUE explored an engaging Ethnographic research technique in a combined presentation and hands-on workshop format.
This session, lead by Anson Lee, Principal at Karo Design, introduced an ethnographic research and collaborative design technique developed by Assistant Professor Paul Rothstein at Arizona State University. Anson presented the results of a design exercise using this technique from his participation in an IDSA experience design workshop.
